⚠️ AGE REQUIREMENT Connected RP is an 18+ platform. By joining, you confirm you are 18 years of age or older. Misrepresenting your age results in a permanent ban.

SECTION 1 — RESPECT & CONDUCT

1.1 Respect all members. No harassment, personal attacks, or targeted behavior — in character or out of character. IC drama is encouraged. OOC toxicity is not.

1.2 IC ≠ OOC. In-character conflict is part of storytelling. Using the RP as cover to genuinely bully or hurt a real person is a bannable offense.

1.3 Zero tolerance for hate. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and any real-world bigotry — in character or out — results in immediate removal.

1.4 Disputes go through staff. Do not air OOC grievances publicly. DM a mod or use the report channel.

SECTION 2 — MATURE CONTENT (18+)

2.1 Mature content is allowed with proper tagging. All posts or threads containing sexual content, graphic violence, substance use, or heavy trauma themes must be tagged [M] or [CW: topic] at the start of your post AND the Adult Content toggle must be enabled before posting. Both steps are required — tagging alone is not enough.

2.2 How to enable Adult Content on a post. When creating a post, click the post composer and toggle on Adult Content — it's labeled "Share your post as adult content" in the post options. This filters your post for members who have opted out of mature content. Mature posts without this toggle enabled will be removed and you will receive a warning.

2.3 Consent-based RP. Before writing explicit scenes involving another player's character, both players must agree OOC. No exceptions.

2.4 No minors in mature content. All characters involved in romantic, sexual, or graphic violent storylines must be written as 18+. Age-ambiguous characters default to 18+.

2.5 Mature content stays in designated spaces. Explicit content belongs in marked mature threads or groups only — not in general community areas.

SECTION 3 — ROLEPLAY STANDARDS

3.1 No godmodding. You control your character only. You cannot write another player's reactions, decisions, or outcomes without their explicit consent.

3.2 Collaborative world, not competitive. Storylines should enrich the community's shared world. Dominating the narrative or repeatedly sidelining others' arcs is not acceptable.

3.3 Character consistency. Stay true to your established character lore. Major retcons or sudden personality shifts need a written story reason and staff awareness.

3.4 Literacy standard. Connected RP is a semi-literate to literate community. Put some thought into your responses to keep this community thriving! "wyd", "wya" is not going to get you places.

SECTION 4 — ACTIVITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

4.1 Activity check-ins. Members are expected to post or interact at least once every 30 days. Long absences without a hiatus notice may result in characters being marked inactive.

4.2 Hiatus policy. Post in the hiatus board before going offline for more than 2 weeks so storyline partners aren't left waiting.

4.3 Multiple accounts. You may create up to 5 accounts under the same IP address to manage multiple characters or personas. Creating extra accounts to evade a ban is prohibited and will result in all associated accounts being permanently removed.

SECTION 5 — CONTENT, MEDIA & CREDIT

5.1 Credit your assets. Mods, CC, art, and graphics used in posts should be credited where the creator is known. Do not repost another member's edits without permission.

5.2 No stolen character designs. Do not recreate or claim designs that clearly belong to another member's established character.

5.3 No unsolicited promotion. Do not advertise other communities or personal businesses without staff approval.

CONTENT WARNING TAG GUIDE

Use these tags at the start of any post or thread containing sensitive themes:

[M] — General mature content [CW: violence] — Graphic physical conflict [CW: sexual content] — Explicit scenes [CW: substance use] — Drug or alcohol themes [CW: abuse] — Emotional or physical abuse [CW: death] — Character death or grief

ZERO TOLERANCE — IMMEDIATE PERMANENT BAN

The following result in an immediate ban with no appeal:

• Any sexual content involving or written to include minors
• Real-world racism, sexism, homophobia, or targeted hate
• Using roleplay as cover to threaten, stalk, or harass a real person
• Sharing another member's personal information (doxxing)

REPORTING Use the Report a Concern section to flag rule violations. Reports are private — only you and staff can see them. Do not post callouts in public areas.

Staff reviews all reports within 48 hours.
